BREWERIES IN INDIANA

3 Floyds Brewery & Pub

9750 Indiana Parkway, Munster, IN

http://www.3floyds.com

Founded: 1996

Last visit: December 2016

Nice: Heavy metal and/or hardcore music is always blasting inside.

Guest taps from local breweries adds variety.

Great beers of all varieties.

A short drive from Chicago.

Stupid: Not much to see in Munster so designate a driver and drink up.

Notes: They've done collaboration brews with some heavy metal bands including Mastodon, At The Gates, and Pig Destroyer. Look for them. Horns up!

Favorite beer: Permanent Funeral (minty double IPA brewed with the band Pig Destroyer)

Food: Full menu changes with the seasons.

Rating: 🍺🍺 Definitely go.

Round Town Brewing

950 South White River Parkway, Indianapolis, IN

http://roundtownbrewery.com

Founded: 2016

Last visit: November 2016

Nice: A nice walk from downtown crosses the White River.

Good descriptions of their beers.

Very friendly bartender with good knowledge of the local area.

Stupid: A bit tricky to find. I think I circled the building three times.

Notes: Took a while to get served but it's new and there was only one bartender.

Favorite beer: 98 Stout

Food: No food served.

Rating: 🍺🍺  Definitely go.

Sun King Brewing Company

135 North College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN

http://www.sunkingbrewing.com

Founded: 2009

Last visit: December 2016

Nice: Flagship beers are solid and specialties are interesting.

Good selection of to-go cans.

Large facility with good seating for one person or a big group.

Stupid: I think having food available would help them a lot because it's a cool place to hang out.

Notes: Book tours on their website.

Favorite beer: Sunlight Cream Ale

Food: No food served.

Rating: 🍺🍺  Definitely go.
